It’s interesting to me when I saw that today’s topic for #MarchMeetTheMaker was “proud of” I instantly thought of this messy, non-staged picture I snapped yesterday while painting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my post yesterday and in my stories I talked about what C O U R A G E really is and how we all have those negative thoughts about ourselves we have to overcome any time we want to do anything meaningful (whether that’s for other’s or ourselves). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This picture represents all of that to me. Because it means I STARTED. It means I grabbed a hold of my courage and turned my back on all the frequent negative thoughts (a continual process). It means I’m actually living out one of my passions, what God created me to do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Give me 🙋🏼‍♀️ or 👊🏼 if you can relate. Or comment and share one thing you’re proud of! I’d love to hear.
I had this realization this morning... anytime we are about to do something meaningful that requires us to step out of our comfort zone... we can EXPECT to hear the negative self-talk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And it doesn’t have to be anything BIG that we are about to do... it can just impact 1 single person. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my stories I shared how I had struggled with this this morning and the lightbulb moment I had that helped push me through it. I got a little 😭 emotional and also a little fires up 🔥. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And any time... maybe EVERY time this happens we will be forced to draw on our courage. It takes courage to overcome these lies. To recognize them and grab a hold of them. To ask God if they are true. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we are lacking courage... check our faith. Do we believe God does what He says he will do? Do we trust that He will equip us for whatever his plans are for us? When we do, we can have courage. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is one of the biggest lies, negative beliefs, about yourself that you need some courage to overcome? If you feel comfortable, share in the comments. We can all pray for some extra courage for you today.

Behind the scenes tip... I’ve had my trusty DSLR for a while now and took @underthesycamore online Snap Shop DSLR course when Brennan was just two. As a mom, it’s helped me capture many moments and also be able to tell a story using my camera. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a business owner this camera has been right by my side.
